A great looking fish, with a mix of orange, red and pink coloured skin. Red mullet aren’t really mullets at all, but a type of goatfish. They are a reddy, orange often with distinct yellow stripes running the length of their bodies and have little barbels (whiskers) on their chin.

Red Mullet Fish is a fish rich in healthy fats, such as omega-3 and 6 acids, which contribute to lowering harmful cholesterol levels in the blood
Packing
Red mullet is packed for export in various formats, including bulk boxes for chilled or frozen products, often with ice for chilling, or smaller packages like 10 kg boxes or vacuum-sealed bags for frozen fish. Common packaging materials include thermocol (styrofoam) boxes and cardboard cartons, with inner packaging ranging from plain bags to individually wrapped portions.
